A variation of Yes-And

Explore the value of Yes-And while adding valuable qualifications.

Level of Difficulty

Using the same rules as Yes-And, use the phrase “Yes-If” at the top of each suggestion. Spend three minutes crafting a holiday party. Statements could include:

  • We should have a holiday party that’s beach themed
  • Yes, if we include all the different departments
  • Yes, if we make sure to only by energy efficient party supplies

With Yes-if, we acknowledge what others are bringing. And we are adding ways to make it better, and bigger. But we aren’t blindly accepting. We are able to add while qualifying our goals.

Practical Application

How can Yes-If be used to trade requirements and priorities?
